PIANO.
Born in Stockholm to an Indonesian father and a Swedish mother, I started playing the piano at the age of ten. After attending one of the foremost specialist music schools in Sweden and winning prizes in several piano competitions, I moved to London in 2004 to pursue conservatoire-level studies under the tutelage of Caroline Palmer and Paul Roberts at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. I continued my musical education with Tatiana Sarkissova at the Royal Academy of Music, from which I graduated with a Master of Arts in Piano Performance as well as the LRAM Teaching Diploma.
I am the recipient of scholarships from the Sixten Gemzéus Foundation, H.T. Cedergren Foundation, Helge Ax:son Johnson Foundation, and the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. I have participated in masterclasses led by Kevin Kenner, Yonty Solomon, James Gibb, Pascal Devoyon, and Christian Blackshaw.
In 2011, I was selected by the WAM Foundation to be a piano teacher at the Calcutta School of Music in India. I am currently Head of Piano Studies at the Lanterns School of Performing Arts in London.
My engagements include solo piano, chamber music, and collaborative cross-art performances in the UK, Australia, Spain, Romania, India, and Sweden. I am the House Concert Pianist for Ballet Nights. As well as sharing my love for music by giving piano recitals and through teaching, I am passionate about artistic collaboration and multidisciplinary work, and I am a professional photographer.
